The problem is what is also accurate may be missing from the Textbook. specific terms like a "wobbler" (a criminal act in CA that could be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony) are clearly explained. The examples given are contextualized so that whatever current event is going on a student will get the point being made. Intro students and even higher levels need to know that jails and prisons are not interchangeable terms and although it did give a good list of the differences there could have been even more discussed to differentiate the two.
